Add the flour, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla, and a pinch of salt, and mix using a wooden spoon or your hands.
Add the chocolate chips (or whatever you’ve chosen to use) and mix again.
Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for half an hour. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Roll the dough into balls (the smaller they are, the more cookies you’ll get; the larger they are, the fewer cookies you’ll get) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 12–13 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
