If thereās one thing I never thought Iād admit publicly, itās this: for far too long, my Airfryer was nothing more than the āofficial machine for reheating pizza and browning frozen food.ā Yeah, I know⦠but who hasnāt given in to that quick and convenient temptation? š The truth is, that chapter is officially closed.
Lately, I decided to give my little (really tiny) Airfryer a second chanceāand, to my surprise, chicken wings have become the real stars of the house. The only problem? The limited capacity. Weāve even created a sort of family protocol: my daughter has absolute priority for the first batch. Meanwhile, we adults wait for the second round⦠salivating discreetly.
The Secret to Perfect Chicken Wings? Planning + A Surprise Ingredient
To ensure that deep, irresistible flavor, I always let the meat marinate for at least 3 hours. But this time I decided to take a chance and add an unexpected ingredient: plain yogurt.
The result? Super juicy wings, tender on the inside, golden on the outsideāprobably the best Iāve ever made.
And how do I know they turned out really good? Because my mini chef, who loves to try everything that comes out of the kitchen, left the little potatoes alone (a historic achievement) and devoured the wings as if they were culinary treasures. If that isnāt proof of success, I donāt know what is š

Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- We start by preparing the wings. As I mentioned earlier, I like to trim off the wing tips and cut each wing in half along the joint. I do this to all of them and place them in a deep bowl to marinate.
- In the same bowl, I add the rest of the ingredients: yogurt, mustard, garlic powder, paprika, ketchup, and salt. I mix well so the wings are thoroughly coated in the marinade. I cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least three hours.
- After three hours, I remove them from the fridge and transfer them to the Airfryer. I hope you have a larger one than mine; if not, you should cook them in small batches. Set the temperature between 180°C (if you have time) and 200°C (if youāre short on time), for about 18 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy. If in doubt, add another 5 minutes.
- Serve with french fries, or notātheyāre also great with just a salad.
